Sina and I finished our burgers because they were so good.

Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive.... Life Sciences Building on UC Berkeley Campus

Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive

We went to Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive. There was a kids club in the museum. There was a little cave there.

At the kids club, we used dough and some materials to make arts. It was a little sticky.

This was my art. It was Turkish art.

This belonged to Sina.

The BIGGGGG pile of dough that we used to make our work.

Life Sciences Building on UC Berkeley Campus

After the Art Museum, we crossed the street to Berkeley campus.
In the Life Sciences Building, there were many dinosaur skulls and bones!

Shhhh!! There is a library here!

This was a real T-Rex skeleton fossils but it was a cast.
They made a cast and gave to Berkeley to honor the UC Berkeley professor who found it.

Reading in the library.. shhhhh...

My dad's office is in this brown building.

The California Academy of Sciences

Last week, we went to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
This museum is in the Golden Gate Park. My mom says it is one of the best museums in the world!

San Francisco from the Bay Bridge

When we arrived, the first thing we saw was a T-Rex skeleton! It is so big!

Reef Lagoon

This man is a diver. He was showing us a little shrimp in the reef.

The Academy has different sections. You can see the aquarium, the Rainforests, the planetarium, and the penguin exhibit. Before we came to the Aquarium section, we went to the planetarium to watch an imax movie about Life. It was a little scary and long for me.

The Aquarium

The Aquarium was fun. It was sooooo big. The fish were very colorful.

a tiny little reef eel

He looks like he is kissing the sand.

She is the diver!
We are touching starfish here!! There are 6 different kinds of starfish in this touch pool.
The starfish are bumpy and hard. And the water is cold.

Living Roof

On the roof of the museum, they plant plants there. It looks beautiful for a picnic.

SKULLS

 This is the Skull wall!

The Penguins!

The penguins were very cute! They loved us a lot. They swam to us and played with us.

Are you earthquake ready?

Here we played a game about what to do if there was an earthquake.

Fossils

These fossils belong to different animals.  Can you see a "poo" fossil?

Late lunch

We ate lunch at 3 pm! We were too excited about the museum and couldn't eat lunch on time.

It was a very cool place. I recommend you to visit this museum!

Oakland Museum of California

We were at Oakland Museum of California.
This museum is about history, art, and natural history of California.
It is in Oakland, 10 minutes from Berkeley.

This is a pond in the museum. There are turtles and fish in this pond.

This is a Grizzly Bear. Grizzly bears are extinct in 1920s. But this one is in the museum. Grizzly bear is also on the California flag for people to know what they have done to grizzly bears.

In the Natural History section, we can see California animals hunting for food.

 These are some bones.

We are inside the base of the redwood tree. You can find more information about the redwoods in our visit to Samuel P. Taylor state park.

These are the rings of the redwoods. The more lines there are, the older the tree is,
Each line means one year.

We are making videos. Please scroll down to find the animation that we made.

Pine cones can grow as big as the ones you can see in this picture!

Can you see termites?

Here are some pictures under the sea.

Here are the fossils on the dinosaur bones from the past.

In the History section of the museum, we saw a lot of things.

Here is a piano that you can hear lots of sounds from different things such as a piano, a door bell, a dinner bell, and etc.

 Noodles are bad for birds!!!

Check out our videos!!
