Sonoma

Sonoma is a wine country. They make a lot of wine there. It is about 1 hour from Berkeley.
Sonoma is historical too.

This mission is called mission San Francisco Solano. It was opened in 1823.It was the last mission that the Spanish built.

In the building next to the mission, I saw exhibitions.

California was a republic for a few weeks in 1846.

This was the republic flag called the Bear Flag.
These are the tools used during the Gold Rush in 1848 to 1860.

This was an oven!

After Sonoma plaza, we went to Bartholomew Park.
You can hike up the mountain but you have to be careful of the mountain lion!

This is where they grow grapes to make wine.

You can have a picnic here too.

This is Bartholomew Park Winery. Sonoma Valley Wine Museum is in this building too.

Sonoma is fun. You should go to Sonoma if you come to the Bay Area.

Have fun!! :)
